Ocholi's driver gives up the ghost in Abuja hospital


Reports credited to Daily Sun have it that the driver conveying late Barrister James Ocholi and his family when they suffered a fatal accident on Sunday, March 6, is dead.

The late minister of state for labour and productivity had lost his life with his son on the spot after the deadly crash, with the wife said to be in a critical condition.



               But, after a few hours after her arrival at the hospital, the late SAN’s wife passed on leaving the driver with the only chance of survival among those involved in the ill-fated crash. And as fate would have it, the driver was confirmed dead about 24hours after the death of his boss whose death came along Kaduna- Abuja high way. 

                   Loads of condolence have poured in for the late minister’s bereaved family as sympathisers and mourners stormed the National Hospital, Abuja, where his remains was received by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state on Sunday evening. 

While President Muhammadu Buhari described Ocholi’s death as the demise of a key component of his change agenda, Nigerians agreed that the president has lost a key member of his administration.
                 Governor Adams Oshiomhole, in his remarks, described the death as a collossal loss to the country, while former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Bello expressed deep shock at the loss of the brilliant lawyer.
